- Everyone who scores at least 2.5/5 points will qualify for the Canadian Youth Chess Championships (CYCC) 2024 happening in Laval QC, July 9-12, 2024
- Official Tournament: CFC & CMA rated, trophies for top 3 in each age group, medals for top in each grade and participation ribbons for every player
- Free Snacks and drinks for every player!
- Date: Saturday March 09, 2024
- Location: Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School Cafeteria, 149 Berrigan Dr, Nepean, ON K2J 5C6
- Schedule: The tournament begins at 12:30 and finishes at 4:15 PM. Please check in between 12 and 12:30 PM.
- Free Simul with IM Johnathan Han, kids who finish earlier can also play against him
- Sections: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18
- Format: 5 round Swiss pairings, each round will be 15min + 10 sec
- Bye: half point bye is allowed in rounds 1 to 5 requested the day before the tournament
- Tie-breaks: (1) Performance of Opposition (2) Win count (3) Head-to-head
- Online Registration: 35$ Early Bird Entry before March 2, 40$ before March 9
- Must register before March 8 at 10PM, no registrations onsite
