About this event

Everyone who scores at least 2.5/5 points will qualify for the Canadian Youth Chess Championships (CYCC) in July 2025 happening in Vancouver, BC
Official Tournament: CFC & CMA rated, trophies for top 3 in each age group, medals for top 3 females and participation prizes
for every player
Free snacks and drinks for every player!
Single elimination bughouse tournament from 4:30-5:30
Date: Saturday November 23, 2024
Location: Earl of March Secondary School Cafeteria,4 The Pkwy, Kanata, ON K2K 1Y4
Schedule: The tournament begins at 1:00 and finishes at 4:30 PM. Please check in between 12:30 PM and 1 PM.
Sections: U8, U10, U12, U14, U18
Format: 5 round Swiss pairings, each round will be 15min + 15 sec
Bye: half point bye is allowed in rounds 1 to 5 requested the day before the tournament
Tie-breaks: (1) Performance of Opposition (2) Win count (3) Head-to-head
Online Registration: 35$
Must register before Nov 22 at 10PM, no registrations onsite
